Black Businesses
This month and going forward I wanted to feature either businesses that I have used or ones my friends have used as well. I am going to keep updating the list as times goes on. We have retail, catering, litureatre, and art to showcase as Black Businesses.
If you are in need of some beard grooming you need to contact them to get some of their Beard Oil. It will have your skin and beard feeling nice.
If you are in need of getting your old, but stylish shoes cleaned this is where you need to go. They specialize in restoring some of the dirtiest kicks. If you do not need your sneakers cleaned, they have a nice unique collection of shoes for you to purchase. They also sell their own show cleaning product for you to use at home.
If you need a custom bowtie, neck tie, or face mask this is where you need to shop. The designs are unique and stylish. If you want something customized like for a wedding, prom, or just an event coming up they can help. My husband loved his bowties and their face masks are stylish and comfortable.
If you want natural essential oil infused remedies this is where you need to shop. She has oils to help with anxiety, sleep, and waking you up. You got a nice full natural beard, try her All-In-One Beard Shampoo & Conditioner. This will help keep it clean, moisturize, and soft.
If you are looking for some amazing cooking look no further. The owners are brothers, Jason and Marcus Brown. Not only do they feed the city of Homewood at their restaurant, but they travel with their food truck all over the state. Lately they have been volunteering their services to help feed health care workers and the community during these difficult times. If you need a caterer, they are the best. My personal favorite are their fried green tomatoes.
The author Ashley Banks wanted to help illustrate the feelings of a child whose parent has cancer and lost through their eyes. She knows all too well about those feelings, as Ashley lost her mother to Breast Cancer as a young age.
Author Justin Sims wanted to help bring more positive representation for young children to read about. He was inspired to write the children’s books from his personal interactions with the youth in the community and past mentorships
